This was an interesting challenge for today. My one "event" was a send off party for my old boss, and taking pictures of lots of people from a low angle isn't too flattering. I thought I would get a few neat pictures of the school building, but I was totally out of time. I got one shot, but you can't even tell I'm on the ground taking it. Oh well. A little about this party though...if you have followed me for long enough, you know how incredible my old boss is. He is moving up from principal to assistant superintendent of the school district after this school year, and the central office is happy to get him. Lucky for me, we still run into each other pretty often as we lead brother/sister Bible studies. Pretty cool.
The rest of the day was filled with a "fat blasting dance mix" workout, a little cleaning around the house, a shower (and blow dry and straightening of the hair!), and a great dance party with my girl. She LOVES dancing with her two favorite people, and the two of us just happened to be dancing when the other one came home from work. He joined in, and it was sheer joy.
I'll leave with part of the lesson from my devotional a few days ago.
"It is through knowing Me intimately that you become like Me. This requires spending time alone with Me. Let go, relax, be still, and know that I am God."
I just liked this a lot, along with every other word I'm reading in Jesus Calling. It has been pivotal in helping me focus on God in moments of the day I don't usually have Him on the forefront of my mind. I highly recommend it.
Our home. (With some odd editing that I'm just now seeing makes it look like a storm's a brewin'. It's perfectly clear outside.)
