Day 5: From a High Angle (plus other weekend happenings)

This is quite a job. Taking a specific picture every day, uploading it to the computer, and posting it on the blog. Whew! I've decided to focus more on what I'm capturing instead of the creativity and artistic side of the challenge. If I can make it look cool, I'll do it for sure, but I want to capture what my real days look like around here.
So what did we do today? Our church had its annual outdoor worship and picnic at Blowing Springs. I stood up on our picnic table bench during a hymn and got what I could inside my frame. A beautiful picture indeed...lots of people singing to God outside on a bright day. Then, while we ate lunch, Reese hung out in her pack n play. Another great high angle shot opportunity.
We have been outside a lot this weekend. After a family trip to the grocery store yesterday afternoon, we strolled across the neighborhood for our 2nd annual picnic. It was so great to meet some new neighbors and some that we just haven't crossed paths with before now. A ton of kids live in the 'hood, so a fire truck came to entertain them. Lots of splashes in the little pool, a few hundred temporary tattoos, a handful of explanations as to what kind of dog Emmett is, and several sweat-soaked t-shirts later, we fed Reese and headed home before the burgers and hot dogs were even done. She was ready for bed, so Wes headed back after we got her down to fetch our dinner. Now we are just hanging out on another hot and sunny Sunday doing some laundry and trying to work on a few little projects. I guess I'll be back tomorrow!
