This weekend was filled with birthday celebrations, and I loved every minute. We woke up saturday morning ready to go. First up was Reese's ballerina-themed 3rd birthday party at our neighborhood park. My mom and I had prepared everything, so it was just a matter of getting it all set up before the 9:00am party. It was a lot of pink, a lot of purple, and a lot of ballerinas. Perfect for Reese. The weather was superb. It was splendid. Guests stayed a lot longer than I (and probably they) had expected because who wants to leave a playground in cool 70 degree sunny weather when the kids are all happily playing?! Ahhh. The only people who left early were the Razorback game attendees, so they scooted out to get to the 11:21 kickoff. As always, I wish I had a few more pictures of party guests, but then again, I enjoyed the party and just had a good time, so I'm thankful for that, too.
After things were packed up and everyone had left, we watched a few football games before gearing up for Graham's party on Sunday afternoon. It was a vintage football-themed party, and I loved it, too. Family and close friends with babies Graham's age came over to celebrate with cake and punch. Simple, sweet, and perfect for Graham.
(My dad may have kept a few more things than my mom would have liked in their move to their new house, but we are so thankful for his collector's personality...for real vintage Razorback goodies. Old Sports Illustrated magazines. Old newspapers from the mid 1960s. Signs from the Cotton Bowl.
(Yeah, one of the goal posts got put on backwards. These were some vintage football players and accessories we found on Etsy.)
(Mom made the runner. Kraft paper, white duct tape, and white paint make for easy football field decor.
(Reese helped blow out the candle.)
(Cute party guests who had to be worn out after Reese's party on Saturday and then being brought along on Sunday to Graham's. It's super fun to have these girls and Reese as besties and then to have baby brothers and sisters around the same age who will hopefully grow to be buddies, too.)
**Reese's 3 year old update to come. We are too busy celebrating today to stop long enough to write the story of her 3rd year!**
