Our little guy is four months old today, and that's one-third of a year. I don't remember life before he arrived very well at all. Graham has joined this family and is a perfect fit. We are so very blessed.
Here is what he is up to these days.
*Smiles if you look at him
*Laughs when you tickle him
*Squeals just for fun
*Cries only if he's tired
*Totally beats his sister in the good sleeper category
*Likes his belly but has no interest in rolling over yet
*If he gets something in his hand, he brings it to his mouth. Not really reaching for things yet.
*Only one arm is swaddled at each bed time.
*Loves the jumperoo
*Adores watching his sister
*A total Momma's boy at this point. We had our first pouty face when I dropped him off at the church nursery last week.
*Wears 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. Stats to come next week after his 4 month well check.
*Sample Schedule:
If we are home all day, Graham is up for an hour and then naps for the next two. All day. Four naps. And I rarely have to re-insert the pacifier or go in at all. He's a champion napper. I have to wake him up many times. If we are out and about, he doesn't sleep long in the car seat or on me, but if we have time before the next feeding when we get home, he easily goes to bed. He loves his crib. He goes about 3 hours between feedings, but it's sometimes a little less or a bit more if I need to adjust the schedule to fit our day better. He goes to bed around 8 at night and then has a dream feed around 10:30. He wakes up somewhere between 4 and 6 most nights, and I can usually pacify him easily until somewhere in the 7:00 hour, but other nights, I just feed him and put him back in bed. Then he will sleep a bit later--closer to 8am. I do bring him in bed with us in the 6:00 hour in order to stretch him sometimes. I think we will really work on getting rid of the 4-6 wake/feed time in the next few weeks.
Graham,
You really melt my heart on a daily basis. Your daddy and I love to just sit and talk and sing with you at night after Reese goes to sleep. You love to watch us gush over you.
You are one tough cookie. Sister adores you, and sometimes she expresses this by sitting extremely close to you and "tickling" your head. She loves to help put you down for naps and loves to help me wake you up to eat. You watch her, study her, and are completely entertained by her if she will sit still long enough.
One of my favorite times of the day is when I get to pick you up from your crib. You just smile as wide as possible and look around taking everything in when those eyes get adjusted to the light. I also cherish story time with you and Sister in your chair before bedtime.
I pray for your relationship with Reese and hope that it is close, supportive, loving, caring, and encouraging. Daddy and I pray that you never know a day apart from Christ and that you have friends who are the same. We pray that you are confident, outgoing, strong, courageous, and love adventure. We pray that you are compassionate, kind, and tender-hearted. We pray that you have a longing to reach others and share the love that you know. We pray that joy fills our home so much that it can't help but overflow into our lives when we walk out the door and interact with others. We pray that on the tough days we remember to be thankful.
We love you and celebrate you today on your FOUR month birthday!

Sister wanted in on the photo shoot.
I call these the out-takes.
